Commercial sourcing scope
Wholesale procurement becomes difficult when many small product lines use inconsistent descriptions, package quantities and acceptance terms. A consolidated schedule should make each item technically unambiguous while keeping shipment and carton data easy to compare.
Organize the RFQ by product family and assign an item code to every configuration. State annual estimate and order quantity separately, identify sample needs, define private-label or neutral packaging, and request carton dimensions and gross weights before freight planning.
Specification and selection table
| Decision item | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Cable products | Construction, fiber count, length and drum or coil |
| Connectivity | Interface, polish, mode, length and loss grade |
| Passive products | Ratio, package, connector and optical limits |
| Tools and accessories | Compatibility, replacement parts and pack quantity |
Standards and engineering interpretation
Wholesale packaging does not change technical acceptance. Product identity and test evidence should remain traceable to the item code and revision used on the purchase order.
